Our New Build Nightmare
Our experience buying a newly built home from Willow Tree Housing Partnership. From the excitement of completion to years of unresolved defects, inspections, warranty confusion and unanswered questions
The short version
What happened?
In April 2022, we moved into what we hoped would be our forever home.
We had already commissioned a professional snagging inspection and were told that 95% of the reported defects had been resolved before completion.
When we arrived, the house was dirty, unfinished, and many of the issues remained unresolved. Since then, we have spent years dealing with inspections, failed repairs, warranty disputes and ongoing attempts to have serious defects properly addressed.
Why we created this website
We created this website after trying, over an extended period, to resolve these issues directly with Willow Tree Housing Partnership.
Our aim is to help others avoid similar problems and to raise awareness of the issues we’ve experienced.
Ultimately, we are seeking accountability, transparency and meaningful change.

The outstanding issues include kitchen defects, external areas, insulation performance, and window and door repairs. We continue to seek a fair resolution focused on bringing the home up to the standard it should have met from the beginning.
